Aqura Dive Centre is delighted to have Pedro Manuel Matos de Afonso Miranda as the Dive Centre Manager.
Pedro Miranda was born and raised in Cascais, Portugal; a PADI IDC staff instructor and an SSI Dive Control Specialist.
With over 20 years of diving experience and 15 years of being a dive professional, he has worked in Europe and Africa. Prior to working at Aqura Dive, he was the senior instructor in one of the biggest dive centres in Koh Lanta, Thailand and was dive center manager for 3 years in Cape Verde, Africa.
Pedro also holds various certifications including Tech Rec Gas Blender, Tec 40, Sidemount, commercial diving, and many other specialty instructor ratings. He speaks fluent Portuguese, English, and Spanish. He also has experience and knowledge with fiberglass speedboats, Yamaha 4 stroke outboard engines, compressor repair & maintenance, and dive equipment repair & maintenance. Pedro is also an involved member of Sea Shepherd, having worked for turtle conservation in Cape Verde.
He speaks fluent Portuguese, English and Spanish, and conversational Indonesian.
